Yoga Beyond The Pain

We’ve all heard it.  “Have you tried yoga?!”  But what does that look like when you’re already hurting and fatigued?  Here are my three yoga practices for even your worst days.  What makes all three of these practices ideal is that you can do them without getting out of bed.

Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Encourage relaxation through a series of gentle muscular contractions paired with the breath, building the bridge between your body and mind for better overall awareness.

Asana for Flares

Gentle, fluid movement for the spine, hips, and shoulders keeps your joints lubricated and increase circulation without overdoing it.  Do each movement as comfortable for you and rest when you need.

1:1 and 1:2 Breathing

Not all yoga comes in poses.  This subtle but effective breathing exercise is used to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) and is the basis for all other breathwork.  Truly a beginner practice.
